Climate change is here, and youth are experiencing a diversity of challenging climate emotions. A 2023 study found that 78% of Canadian youth report that climate change impacts their overall mental health. Through discussion and storytelling, participants will explore the spectrum of emotional responses to the climate crisis and be equipped with resources and tools to effectively deal with potentially powerful climate emotions. "Naming and taming" our emotional response to our climate reality is a crucial, and often overlooked necessary step to effective, lasting climate action, and is key in fostering agency and resilience.
