The workshop aims to explore youth engagement and empowerment in the climate space on an international scale, demystifying the world of youth advocacy. It will also provide an overview of the UNFCCC process, explaining how negotiations occur at COP and how young people can get involved. Designed to be interactive, this workshop will prioritize dialogue over lecture, emphasizing that all young voices are valued and essential in shaping climate action.

- Explore key ingredients for success, including skills for collaboration, communication, and effective teams

- Gain knowledge of local sustainability priorities

Take away ideas and strategies for action, including upcoming opportunities to get involved

In this workshop you'll be introduced to the work of the Surfrider Foundation, a 40 year old environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves, and beaches. We'll dig into the challenges and opportunities facing our oceans and coastlines by highlighting the efforts of local foundation chapters. Participants will be invited to creatively imagine how we can build a future that ensures a healthy ocean for all.
