About me
Aayush is an experienced facilitator, workshop designer, and health researcher. He holds a Master of Science degree in Health Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science from Simon Fraser University. He was also a graduate fellow with the Community-engaged Research Initiative at SFU and acquired research funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canada for his Master of Science work. Aayush is committed to empowering and amplifying the voices of equity-denied groups and advancing health and social equity. Aayush’s interests lie at the intersections of health and the built environment. His thesis was about 15-minute neighbourhoods, where Aayush mapped access to amenities, facilitated focus groups with equity-denied groups, and then redid the maps based on community feedback. Aayush has experience working with cities, community organizations, and researchers in various research and municipal projects in his time with the Cities, Health, and Active Transportation Research lab and the Research and Action for Health Cities lab at SFU. When he is not working, Aayush enjoys watching and playing soccer and going on hikes with his friends and family.
