About me
Nelson Lee is the President of Green Sky Sustainability Consulting Inc. (www.greensky.ca). He has advised corporations and governments on strategies for improving their sustainability related to environment, health, and safety performance. For the last 18+ years, Nelson has focused on providing climate action services, primarily in GHG mitigation as a GHG verifier with 500 report and offset project verifications completed in AB, BC, SK, ON, Canada, US and EU. He has also conducted climate risk and resiliency assessments and sustainability plans. Nelson is a member of the CSA Technical Committee (TC 207) on the Environment which is also a harmonized mirror committee that represents Canada’s interests in the development of international standards through the ISO TC 207 / Subcommittee 7 on Climate Change and GHG Management. The committee develops standards at the international and national levels. He is a working group expert on the following standards: ISO 14064 series, ISO 14091, ISO 14097 and ISO 14068.Nelson has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, and a MASc in Environmental Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He was Chair of the Sustainability Committee and Vice Chair of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and Environmental Professionals Divisions of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). He is now a member of EGBC’s Climate Change and Sustainability Advisory Group. He is a registered Professional Engineer in BC, AB and SK. Nelson was a Steering team leader in preparing EGBC’s Climate Action Plan which was later incorporated into EGBC’s Strategy.
